Emily Isaacs is a writer, producer and director from Eastbourne in the UK. After a chronic illness prompted a change from being a ‘cello teacher to writing, she production-managed a micro-budget feature while completing a MA. In 2020, after three years as Head of Production at Drop Dead Films, she set up an online creative content company, Scriptworks Productions Ltd. with her husband, editor Gino Isaacs. They have two children with special needs, and Emily has two older children at university and college.

She grew up in her dad's photographic studio around the corner from the original Channel 4 studios. Her school church was the one outside the BBC buildings at the end of Regent St. Emily was once the face of Butterkist and Birds Trifle. Her first professional acting performance was with the English National Opera in the children's chorus for a production of 'Carmen'. She's performed with broken limbs, high temperatures, and once, the day after she got knocked over on Tottenham Court Road. She used to teach David Dimbleby and his son Fred the 'cello. A long time ago (fourteen years ago) she used to firespin.
