Emily (she/her) is an award winning director and film editor, specializing in documentary and independent scripted content. She was selected as one of the eight emerging producers to take part in the Doc Institute’s Breakthrough Development Lab 2022 to develop and pitch her first feature documentary.
Emily’s first short documentary THE GOATS OF MONESIGLIO (2022) has been officially selected for several film festivals, including Yorkton Film Festival, CUT TO: Gent and the Regina International Film Festival and Awards - where it won best “Canadian Documentary - Short Form.” She has several other projects currently in development, going into production in 2023.
Emily studied at Central Saint Martins in London, UK, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Gerrit Reitveld Academie in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and is a graduate of the Loyalist College Photojournalism program. She is also an alumni of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection internship program in Venice, Italy.
