Elle Rinaldi, the Writer and Director, is a 21-year-old filmmaker based in New York City. In her art, Elle likes to create rich soundscapes and find the hyper stylization in seemingly mundane, unnoticed, everyday life. In 2021, Elle graduated NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film & Television. Elle has worked as a Development Intern at Ark Media and has extensive freelance experience as a cinematographer and sound editor and mixer. She is a 2021 Fusion Film Festival winner for directing and her sound editing and mixing was featured in the 2021 Tribeca Now showcase. Elle’s Next Big Thing! is developing her senior thesis, a fantasy/horror short which explores fear, myth, and what it means to be a woman alone. She aims to change the way films are made through healing-informed storytelling, a mindset and practice which involves an open and honest atmosphere on set and in post-production, and a focus on authentic relationship building among crew, actors, and individuals who work on and in her films. Her favorite time of day is 6pm in the summer, her favorite podcast is Radiolab, and her favorite sound is bones cracking during a stretch session.
