Elettra Gallone (1993) is a director, dop and producer who works between Milan and Courmayeur. In 2016, she graduated in Media Design and Multimedia Arts from NABA (Milan) and deepened her knowledge of documentary filmmaking with a Master’s degree in Social Anthropology at SOAS (London). This training allowed her to translate her interest in people, society, and cultures through documentary cinema. She worked as the official photographer and filmmaker for Emergenza Sorrisi during surgical missions in Benin (2016) and Iraq (2017). She attended two courses at NFTS in London, in 2016 and 2019. In 2021, she participated in the 2nd Film Accelerator with Werner Herzog in Lanzarote, where she created two short films: La Ira de Guayota and Poseidòn. In 2022, her first feature film, Meeting Samir at Night, was showcased at the Filmmaker Film Festival in Milan, and in 2023, it was selected for the Ischia Film Festival. A month later, her medium-length film Black Pillar participated in the Mountain Film Alliance - Moc Gor festival in Poland. In 2023, she founded Emerald Mountain Films, producing documentary films and other projects. She is currently working on her latest feature film, Courma et Courmayeur.
