Director Biography - Naveen Venkat

I'm Naveen. I grew up in Hyderabad, India and all my childhood I am big fan of cinema. In 80's I used to wait for Sunday's to watch doordarshan films. This passion has made a complete fan of cinema.

I moved to London through Indian IT company in 2006 and settled in London since then. I have an instagram page with 53,000 followers. However it is not on my name as I coined a name for the page to spread the magic of the cinema, documentaries and series on various OTT platforms. It is called Spreadflix. I am serving as Independent critic for this page since 2018 via twitter, instagram and threads (recently). In this journey I watched and reviewed 2000+ titles in various formats and various languages like Korean, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam.

The knowledge I gained pushed my soul asking WHAT NEXT?. So here I come with an idea of making a mind-bending short with full of passion to give something new something back to the society.

Electric Shhock is the short that is close to my heart. I made this with pure love for fresh concept driven logic driven cinema. My belief is that a cinema should not only entertain but also make audiences think in their own perspectives and judge it. I hope I am successful in my attempt.
