Director Biography - Gustavo de Carvalho

Gustavo de Carvalho (São Paulo), born in 1997, is a director and screenwriter. Graduated from 'Cinema and Audiovisual' at Universidade Anhembi Morumbi, São Paulo. Started his professional work in the audiovisual market as a production assistant for advertisements and series at O2 Filmes (City of God; Blindness). More recently as an Assistant in the series “Conquest" (Netflix) and as Assistant Director in the feature “7 Prisoners” (Netflix - Dir: Alexandre Moratto), that premiered at the Venice Film Festival. He directed “Hot Chocolate” (2018), “VINIL” (2019), “2023” (2020), “Our Uncle Pedro” (2021), “CAOS” (2022), winner of best screenplay and best national music video at 11th Festclip, and “Voto Nulo” (2022), selected for the 26th Tiradentes Film Festival and the 16th CineBH International Film Festival.
