I am a documentary enthusiast from China, currently a graduate student in film at SCAD. Since 2019, I have participated in the internship production of Chinese history and humanities documentaries at Tianjin TV Station: Beautiful Tianjin, Spring and Autumn of Xiaolou. In 2021, I started to create documentaries independently. In March 2024, I came to the United States to start creating my first English documentary Eleanor Sandy Torrey West.
I try to combine the Chinese documentary creation framework with Western innovative thinking to create documentaries that are novel, beautiful and informative.
Regarding my work, I will only do one thing in my life, which is documentary. I am committed to two directions. The first is to record and spread kindness in the world, and the second is to pass on art and culture through documentaries, so that meaningful things and events will remain in this world instead of disappearing.
