Writer/Director/Producers Shuchi Kothari & Sarina Pearson
Shuchi Kothari and Sarina Pearson have been collaborating for over twenty years. They have made television documentary, sketch comedy, short films, and docudrama. Both are Associate Professors in Media and Communication at the University of Auckland. Elder Birdsong is their latest production in an ongoing collaboration with the Te Arai Research Group whose focus is palliative and end of life care, as well as ageing and social isolation. This film was funded by New Zealand’s Ageing Well National Science Challenge Grant.
