Eige

Marta Eige is a police officer at the peak of her career and about to be promoted to detective. On the day of her celebration her husband disappears and no trace of him can be found. Eige suffers a psychological trauma that will mark her forever, a broken marriage and a life off the rails with her career in decline and at risk of suspension for her unprofessional conduct in the last year. The night before the anniversary of the tragic event Eige reacts to pain by spending her wandering around aimlessly in her car.
The following morning he regularly has to go to work, in the meantime he hears the report of a missing person on the radio and decides to intervene by going to the location of the last sighting.
Once she arrives in the area she starts checking but something strange catches her attention, she looks up at the sky and notices something anomalous, incredibly anomalous... the beginning of her nightmare...

Director Biography - Luigi Scaramuzzi

Amatore del cinema, soprattutto del genere horror anni 80, ho iniziato giovanissimo a muovermi da autodidatta sfruttando la mia creatività, i miei avevano una videoteca e passavo il tempo a vedere film sempre più affascinato dalla realizzazione delle riprese e dal montaggio più che dalla trama e dal film in se, così ho iniziato a sperimentare il montaggio video con le vecchie VHS di famiglia e collegando due video registratori.
Ho studiato all'Accademia d'Arte HaMaDeUs di Bari regia cinematografica nell'anno 2008/2009, realizzando un corto (film) d'autore amatoriale di genere Thriller, pianificando e sviluppando ogni singolo aspetto del progetto, titolo, trama, personaggi, sceneggiatura, riprese, fotografia, costumi, effetti speciali visivi, location, montaggio, creazione locandina film e produzione doppio dvd con contenuti extra, quali: errori, scene eliminate, intervista attori e regista.
Oggi dopo un lungo periodo di inattività dove non ho mai smesso di scrivere e immaginare nuovi lavori, ho realizzato un nuovo corto.

With "EIGE," I aimed to immerse the viewer in an intense exploration of mystery and inner turmoil. The short film springs from an enigmatic symbol, 'HELP,' carved into the earth, marking the disappearance of Carolina Eige's husband, a tormented ex-detective. A haunting dream—where the sun sets at an unnatural speed, the moon rises swiftly, and a pulsating engine echoes—fuels her obsession, weaving rationality and vision into a 7-minute journey. It’s an invitation to get lost in the silences and secrets, to wonder what lies beyond the horizon.
