Ego Fatum - A Reason for Being

Six creatures are locked in an old abandoned building. Asleep by time, they lie dormant. The dust of the palace seems to have covered their memories as well but suddenly something broke this soporific limbo. An almost ancestral call awakens the six creatures who thus regain knowledge and leave the palace in search of their place of belonging. A journey through nature will finally lead them home.

Director Biography - Francesco Mazzola, Valeria Salvatori

Valeria Salvatori was born in Rome in 1997. She graduated with full marks from Accademia Costume e Moda in Rome. Her thesis project “Ego Fatum” is a capsule collection of womenswear , entirely sustainable. The collection is selected by a high-profile jury in the fashion sector to participate in the AltaRoma Talents 2021. Together with Francesco Mazzola she writes and directs "Ego Fatum - A Reason for Being" the fashion film that tells the story of the collection. After this experience she began working in the Italian film industry as a costume assistant.
Francesco Mazzola was born in Brescia in 1994.
After graduating in Arts and Entertainment, he studied at Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan, where he began working as a videomaker and photographer alongside theater-dance companies. He moved to Rome and concluded his training with a specific diploma for Camera Operators and Cinematographers. Together with Valeria Salvatori he writes and directs the fashion film “Ego Fatum - A Reason for Being”, in which he is also director of photography. He currently works between Rome and Milan with various production companies in the industry.
