Director Biography - Tyler Council

Tyler Council has been producing outlandish comedy shorts and sketches since his teenage years. His passion to entertain has fueled his desire for storytelling, manifesting through his sketch comedy collective, “The Reel Idiots”. At the age of 18, Tyler joined the US Coast Guard, where he served in Ketchikan, Alaska before moving back home to study filmmaking at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. There, he earned his Bachelors of Science in Digital Filmmaking & Video Production. He was awarded Best Portfolio of his 2010 graduating class. Tyler has worked in every aspect of production including but not limited to Feature Films, Television, and Documentaries. He currently works as a camera operator on the Discovery Channel show “Street Outlaws” for the last 2 seasons. Grateful for the creative network he has established, Tyler feels lucky to be surrounded by continuously creative comrades. Tyler and the rest of The Reel Idiots inspire one another to excel across all creative fronts, including filmmaking, digital art, comedy, and music.
