I am a community pharmacist passionate about my work but even more passionate about film and documentaries. Among my many studies in the field of health and business I am studying cinema at the Hellenic Open University specializing in directing, writing and editing.
My relationship with cinema started at an early age. I still remember myself on summer family vacations, in various places in Greece, looking for the local summer cinema. When kids of my age couldn't wait to get together to play hide-and-seek, chase, darts, I was trying to convince my father to accompany me to the movie I wanted to see. And he did, without resenting it. Before every film, my father used to talk to me about the need of the creator to tell a story. And that's how I came to love the stories and their creators.
Film language is capable of speaking about all that words often fail to say. Federico Fellini once said: "There are no borders between fantasy and reality. To some extent everything is realistic." Or it's all fiction I might add, but in any case, each film is a depiction of the version of reality as envisioned by the creator. And finally everything is connected in a magical way to each other. Imagination and reality are the two sides of our unique life.
