Jose E. Juarez was born in Mexico City in 1983; I migrated to the United States in 1993 at the age of 10 years old. Attended a high school that had an animation program, which he took all my four years of high school. During his senior year in high school he was fortunate enough, among other students, to have his animations seen and critiqued by animation students from San Jose State University and professionals in the animation industry such as Dave Masters, one of America’s foremost animation educators and former student of Chuck Jones.
Once he graduated from high school in 2001 he attended San Jose State University for their animation program. During this time he also started to self-publish hi own comic book series, “Lalo’s World” based on his humorous observations of life. Juarez graduated from SJSU in late 2012 with a B.F.A in animation/illustration. In 2012 he did an internship with Guerilla Wanderers, a small production studio in San Jose, CA. He produced short animated sequences for a music video that they produced for Cassandra Farra & The Left Brains’ music video “Moving Out”. Juarez also produced animated sequences, character designs, and layouts for two of their 30-second trailers for Cinequest’s film festival that occurs every year in San Jose, CA.
In early 2013 Jose E. Juarez founded Caricatura Studio using his "artistic name", Eduardo Juarez jr. Juarez wanted to start an animation studio that would specialize in 2D animation. Since then he has produced over a dozen short animation films and one television commercial.
