É d'Oxum: the force that lives in the water

With more than 35 years of release, É d'Oxum is one of the greatest musical successes of the composers Gerônimo Santana and Vevé Calasans. In this film, the musical work is poetically presented as one of the elements that best translates the sense of identity of soteropolitans and baianos. Expressed in each verse of the song, the relationship between nature and candomblé is an essential cultural and symbolic aspect of the Bahian way of being, present in the affective memory of the people, their celebrations and beliefs.
