Ecstasy Through Agony

Meaning:
The dominatrix represents the political state and how it abuses its citizens through promises of liberty, security, and plenty in exchange for relinquishing natural freedoms to the government. Many people willingly enjoy this abusive relationship as it escalates out of control until all have traded away our freedoms in exchange for total state domination.

Synopsis:
“Ecstasy Through Agony” begins with a Man, a citizen, and a Dominatrix, the government or state, entering a large run-down slum of a room containing four boxes at the far end. Each box is covered with a black drape.

Throughout the Man's journey of pleasurable pain, the band Hardwire performs, blindfolded by cloth and barbed wire. Blood flows from their mouths.

The Dominatrix tortures the Man in ever more sadistic ways. A journey culminating with the Man's tongue being cut from his mouth with a circular saw.

The Man willingly submits to being blindfolded as the Dominatrix pulls back the box coverings revealing all four Hardwire band members. Now nothing but wild men locked in their own cage of agony. All have traveled the Man's same road from citizen to state submissive.
