Director Statement

The idea of the short film "Echoes of the Past" was born from the director's personal experiences at different stages of his life and with different groups of friends.
The short film is mainly about friendship and how many factors can influence the interpersonal relationships of a group of friends, such as; the passage of time, the secrets and mainly the guilt that each person carries for the actions of the past.
To cover these themes, the director considered drama as the most appropriate genre for the short film with characters and situations that feel real and with which the audience can identify.
The main message of "Ecos del Pasado" is about forgiveness, but forgiveness towards oneself. Demonstrating that emotional wounds can be healed by facing the events that marked our past and reassuring ourselves about it with the people we care about and who can be a support for us.
