Director Statement

With a heavily sports centric upbringing, I feel I am only just starting to breach my creative potential. My experience of being raised an African-American woman in a predominantly white community has given me a unique voice and perspective that I desperately wish to share. I am enamored by the simple and lyrical, and driven by ideals of equality, representation, and empathy. With these convictions, in addition to principles of endurance and teamwork, acquired through years of athletic competition, I hope to resonate with individuals from all walks of life, through my work perhaps ultimately promoting a more universal narrative.
