Director Statement

Driven by the need to create and remain optimistic during the surreal experience of the Coronavirus lockdown, I penned a poem about the positive effects that I saw in Coronavirus, on the planet, on society and on the individual.
I had the idea, "If I was the planet right now, I would be rather happy to have a break from the pollution caused by travel and consumerism; I would think locking down humans for a while was quite a good thing!".
But I also noticed how much happier and calmer nearly all the people I know seemed without the stress of continuously rushing around and achieving.
Hence, "Earth's Corona Cure".
But as a film-maker at heart, my poem was just the beginning. Whilst homeschooling 2 pent up young boys and a sullen teenage daughter, I took the genius decision to deprive myself of all sleep and work through night after night, turning my poem into a film.
I showed it to a few trusted people who loved it, so I showed it to some more and was overwhelmed by the response. "Submit it to festivals!", they said. So I have. I hope you will enjoy watching it.
