Director Biography - Blomme Molenstra

Blomme Molenstra was born in Temse (Belgium), 1993.
Being the son of two artists, meant he grew up in an environment of constant visual stimulation. Since he didn't get to watch any television, he had to make his own entertainment: he decided to pursue a career in film.
After failing the film admission test however, he was advised to join the animation department instead. When he told the teachers he didn’t like drawing, they assured him that wasn’t a requirement. After graduating from the "School of Arts" Ghent he created "On the Road", a surreal comedy about Automan who solves traffic problems.

Operating on the border between animation and live-action, I'm trying to find a balance between creating the unconventional, while still entertaining those looking for the conventional.
