Director Biography - Monique Chua

Monique Chua fell in love with films when she was a kid, and soon realized she wanted to create her own stories on screen. For her, films were more than entertainment. They were a source of inspiration and excitement that drove her to devote her life to the art of filmmaking

She was born on October 11, 2001, and grew up in Marikina City, Philippines. She is the youngest of the siblings in her family. She is studying for BA in Digital Film at Mapua University Makati and mostly specializes in Photography and Video editing. She graduated from Berea Arts and Science High School where she took up Arts and Design track to pursue careers in the creative field.

Monique joined a media ministry at a religious organization, where her job was to take photographs as many as she can during the weekly event for almost 2 years. She is one of the founding members of a small production, Isaw Wrap, with aspiring filmmakers and creatives. She has worked on two films called, "Kaulayaw" and "unHOElies" in different roles such as poster designer, BTS photographer, and art department.
