ESCALE – Moments of Encounter
More encounters, more street life, more surprises in the neighbourhood – these wishes of the local residents formed the core of performance artist Marinka Limat's project in the city of Berne.
ESCALE (French for "stopover") took place in May 2019 in two neighbourhoods of the Swiss capital. A mobile wooden structure hosted its artistic actions: Moments of encounter were created with and for the residents using the pretext of artistic interventions.
The documentary by David Röthlisberger traces the project's development focusing on the personal views of the local stakeholders.
