Edinburgh North Star International Film Festival (ENSIFF) is an Edinburgh (UK) based International Film competition with quarterly live screenings event at the chosen city's venue.

We in search for independent projects from all genres, any country and any budget.

We are glad and proud to support first time and experienced indie filmmakers, providing friendly environment, place to meet and share ideas along with the professional programming of the event.

Each submitted project will get social media coverage and will be listed on Festival's web site, to promote and support indie film production. Unless the submitter will notify us of the contrary or it will be unsuitable for public display by some reason.

All submitted projects will be viewed and judged by experienced festival administrators and industry professionals. All accepted projects will receive Official Selection laurels and additional media coverage. Nominees and Award Winners will be announced from Official Selection pool. Only Award Winning projects will be included in a Live screening event.

During life screening days, the audience will vote and additional Audience Award will be given to the winning film.

All submission fees are goes to support the event screening costs, promotional materials and staff hire. Thank you for your support and participation!

Edinburgh North Start International Film Festival (NSIFF) Submission Rules:

PART I
1. All projects have to be submitted digitally via https://filmfreeway.com/ENSIFF
2. All works have to be completed on or after 2010 year.
3. All works have to be completed at the time of submission. Works in progress will not be considered.
4. All genres are accepted with a maximum length of 40 minutes.
5. All entries must be either in English or subtitled in English.
6. There is no premier requirements and any submitted work may participate in other competitions worldwide.
7. Same project can be submitted under multiple categories (eg: Best Trailer, Best Sound Design, Best Actress etc)

PART II
8. Entrants warrant that they have the legal right to enter film work to the NSIFF and own all rights to the film.
9. Entrants confirm and warrant that they have the required legal authority to submit the entry into the festival and to use all music, images, and content in the entry.
10. Entrants confirm and warrant that they have the required legal authority to submit the entry into the festival and accept full responsibility for the content (eg: music, images, digital content etc).
11. Submitted projects can not be withdrawn after receiving Official Selection notification.
12. All entry fees are non-refundable unless they are covered by the submission protection from FilmFreeway.

PART III
13. ENSIFF can use trailer, poster and stills of the submitted work for promotional purposes on festival's website, newsletters, social media etc.
14. By submitting your work to NSIFF, you give festival permission to screen your film during the festival at the festival’s discretion.
