In the bustling streets of Chennai, Arjun, a young cafe worker, and his roommate Karthik navigate the challenges of everyday life. One ordinary morning quickly spirals into a day filled with minor setbacks and confrontations with their strict cafe owner, Muruganantham, who frequently rebukes them for tardiness and threatens salary cuts. Despite the usual chaos of missing supplies and the pressure of an unsympathetic employer, the duo navigates through the challenges with a mix of humour and grudging diligence.
Outside work, Arjun and Karthik's relationship is filled with light-hearted banter and shared burdens, often finding solace in each other's company over drinks on their terrace. That evening, as they reminisce, the narrative turns poignant, revealing Arjun's past connection with Ruby Joseph, a girl he once knew from his childhood days spent creating sand castles on the shore. As memories surface, Arjun reflects on a missed moment when Ruby, who had once been a significant part of his life, told him about her imminent departure. However, she leaves with a promise to reunite.
