Welcome to the Eastern Nigeria International Film Festival (ENIFF), a dynamic platform for independent filmmakers, artists, and storytellers to showcase their talents in film and digital media. ENIFF transcends the typical film festival, evolving into a year-round hub of creativity that peaks with our annual celebration every November.

Our commitment lies in presenting unparalleled films from across the globe, with a special emphasis on empowering female filmmakers and embracing diversity across all genres—from narratives and documentaries to experimental works and animation.

ENIFF's mission extends beyond screenings. We are dedicated to fostering the next wave of filmmaking talent, particularly young African visionaries, through comprehensive educational programs. But the magic of ENIFF doesn't end there. Our legendary closing party is an electrifying mix of Afro beats, exquisite cuisine, and networking with Nollywood's elite, offering an experience that's as unforgettable as the films we celebrate.

We are calling for film submissions worldwide. Join us at ENIFF 2023 to share your vision on a global stage and together, let's REIMAGINE the future of film and art.

Ready to showcase your masterpiece to the world? ENIFF 2024 is your stage. Let's RE-IMAGINE the future of film and art together.

At ENIFF, we take pride in recognising the most creative and compelling independent films from around the world. Our annual festival celebrates the best in filmmaking, with awards presented in a variety of categories, including Narrative Feature, Narrative Short, Documentary (Feature & Short), Animation, Acting, Directing, Experimental, and Cinematography.

We also offer a special Jury award for outstanding film, giving our esteemed jury committee the flexibility to recognise exceptional films that may not fit into a traditional category.

All submitted films automatically qualify for awards consideration, and winners are announced during our highly anticipated Closing / Awards Ceremony. Don't miss your chance to be a part of this exciting celebration of independent films!

Submit your film today and show the world what you've got!

Here are a few rules and regulations you should take note of to ensure a smooth submission process:

The deadline for submission is August 31, 2024.

Make sure to comply with all the Entry Rules & Regulations, including film length, entry material, and other requirements.

All entries must be submitted online through filmfreeway.com, and we encourage you to attach a complete press kit. Our selection committee, comprising professional filmmakers and critics, will review your films in their entirety. Therefore, entries in foreign languages must have English subtitles.

* We accept films produced from January 2021 to date, and you must own or have been given all the rights to the submitted work. Multiple entries are allowed, and you can submit more than one film to the same category.

* We give priority to female filmmakers, but all applicants must follow the guidelines to be accepted.

* At our discretion, we may transfer your film to the correct category, and the screening committee will determine which films shall be screened. Please note that submission does not guarantee selection for screening, and all decisions of the committee are final.

* Once your film is an official selection, we will notify you by email.

* Winners will be presented with their awards during the ENIFF Awards Ceremony, which takes place at the festival in November 2024. Winners outside Nigeria wishing to receive their award plaque by mail must cover shipping costs.

* We cannot be held liable for any lost or damaged materials, and the festival does not pay rental/screening fees for submitted works.

* By submitting your film, you grant permission to ENIFF to use clips of your film for promotional purposes. Moreover, you confirm that you have the rights to the project submitted and indemnify ENIFF of any legal action that may arise from the use of such content.

We look forward to receiving your submissions and celebrating your creativity during the festival.
