From the world of walls and solitude, a man finds his way unto the light of truth to disappear in it like a shadow and his beloved follows him to be one with truth.
ലോകം ഒരു ജയിൽ ആകുമ്പോൾ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം ഒരു മിത്താകുന്നു. സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം തേടുന്ന ഒരാൾ ലോകത്തിന് അതീതമായി നിൽക്കുന്ന പ്രകാശത്തിലേക്ക് നടന്നു നീങ്ങുന്നു. അവിടെ ഒരു നിഴലായി അയാൾ ഇല്ലാതാകുന്നു. അയാളുടെ മാർഗ്ഗം പിന്തുടർന്ന് ഈ ലോകത്തോട് യാത്ര ചൊല്ലി സ്വയം ഇല്ലാതാകാൻ അയാളുടെ പ്രണയിനിയും തയ്യാറെടുക്കുന്നു. ദൈവത്തെയും ലോകത്തെയും സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തെയും പ്രണയത്തെയും പറയുന്ന രണ്ട് ബഷീർ കഥകളിലെ ചില വാചകങ്ങൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് നിർമ്മിച്ച ഹ്രസ്വ ചിത്രം.

Noushad Mohamed Kunju, an actor, actor trainer, director, and educator, is presently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Theatre Arts, Sarojini Naidu School of Arts, Central University of Hyderabad, India. He is a member of the examination board Intercultural Theatre Institute (ITI) Singapore. He is also visiting faculty of the National School of Drama, New Delhi, the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), and The Drama Department University of Saskatchewan, Canada. He was formerly the Artistic Director of the Shri Ram Centre (SRC) Performing Arts New Delhi, after graduating from Intercultural Theatre Institute (ITI) Singapore (2002-2005). He worked as a full-time artist at NSD Repertory Company New Delhi (1999-2002). He holds a diploma in Dramatic arts from the National School of Drama (1996-1999) and also holds a Bachelor of Theatre Arts (BTA) from Thrissur School of Drama, Calicut University Kerala (1993- 1996).

He has acted in Amal, an Indo-Canadian collaboration movie, educational movie- History of Calendar, Magic Lantern, Limca Book of Records 2007 Jayaraj film's Adbhutham, and Rahul Bose production’s Poorna 2017. He directed an experimental Malayalam short film, ‘Fill the Space’ (Sthalipooranam), and won the Best Director (Outstanding Achievement Award) in the 16th season of the Tagore International Film Festival and World Film Carnival - Singapore, Short Script Award and Best Actor Award in World Film Carnival - Singapore 2021.
He is one of the collaborators of 'Kutay' (connections), an international/intercultural and cross-cultural theatre performance in the new normal, involving theatre practitioners and educators from Japan/Malaysia, Hong Kong, India, and the Philippines. Organized by The La Salle University Theatro Guindegan in cooperation with The Japan Foundation Manila Philippines (2020).
He has acted in numerous theatre productions in India and internationally. These include Kuo Pao Kun's 'The Spirits Play' (2009), organized by Traditions & Editions Theatre Circus (TETC), a theatre collective established by Intercultural Theatre Institute (ITI) alumnus, Singapore, The Spirits Play went on to the 12th NSD National theatre festival -Bharat Rang Mahotsav- New Delhi in January (2010). He also performed in another TETC production, 'Transformations', as part of Kuo Pao Kun theatre festival, in Hyderabad(2012), 'An Autobiography of a Sex Worker (2011), staged in Hyderabad and Kerala, 'Portrait of Dora' and 'Helen' which participated in NSD 8th National Theatre festival- Bharat Rang Mahotsav- in January (2008), a Japan Foundation's project 'Performing Women' – Clytemnestra, Medea, and Jocasta, based on Greek drama, involving artists from India, Japan, Iran, and Uzbekistan which was performed in India and Tokyo and later in the Seoul Theatre Festival (2007), also collaborated with a Malaysian company 'Teater' Ekamatra's 'Impenjarament' (imprisonment), for the Singapore Arts Festival (2005), and Chen Hui Wen's production of Sarah Kane's '4:48 Psychosis' under the banner of The Republic of Performance in Taiwan (2005). Ota Shogo's 'Water Station', ITI, Singapore (2004) and 'Miwa' another Indo - Japan collaboration project, Tokyo, Japan, (1999).
He has presented several papers –"Tracing cultural lineages" on 'Cultures of the Left – Performances, and Manifestations' at the International Theatre Festival of Kerala (ITFOK), a seminar focused on 'Theatre of the Margin', Jan 23rd (2018), 'Being in the moment on the topic of body, performance culture and theorizations, organized by Govt. Brennen College Thalassery, Kerala (2017), 'Traditional acting practice –a method of amalgamation' in the Asian Intercultural Conference – an international gathering of theatre professionals, scholars, and academics in Esplanade Theatres on the Bay, Organized by Intercultural Theatre Institute (ITI) Singapore (2014), VII Annual International conference – 'I and Multilingual'- on the topic of Colonial and Post –Colonial Indian Theatre: conducted by Indian Society for Theatre Research (ISTR) in association with International Federation for Theatre Research (IFTR) and organized by the Department of Theatre Arts, Sarojini Naidu School of Arts, Central University of Hyderabad( 2011) and 'Spine straight, face smiling and enjoy the pain' on the topic of Theatre Today: Seeking New Paradigms, the inaugural conference was organized by Intercultural Theatre Institute (ITI) in collaboration with the National University of Singapore Theatre Studies Programme. - Working interculturally (2008).
