ECOS
Women who came into conflict with the law are today, for the most part, deprived of the exercise of other forms of freedom that the law assists them. Between pain and anguish, here are her reports that give voice and life to all who struggle daily so that women's voices and opinions echo loudly in society.
This fight seeks to strengthen the right to freedom of expression and information, transmitting and believing in the position that equality in the exercise of their rights and the fight against violence and discrimination are necessary conditions for a truly fair and democratic society.
The film «Ecos» constitutes a proposed solution for strengthening the promotion of the human rights of women and girls, including their values of citizenship, gender equality and empowerment of Mozambican women with a view to raising awareness of society and relevant institutions about the need to protect their human rights. One contributing to the reduction of cases of gender-based violence, revictimization of women and their resocialization. The main focus of the film was the collection of testimonials from women who were victims of gender-based violence and who are incarcerated in the Maputo Preventive Penitentiary, known as the Civil Prison.
