Jaime Kawamoto is a proud Japanese-Canadian, currently living in Hamilton, Ontario. She's finally putting that BFA in screenwriting -- with a minor in feminist philosophy -- to good use, thanks to Roadmap Writers' Career Program. The comedy chops she honed in the Second City Conservatory help Jaime spin trauma and anger into (very) darkly funny social commentary gold. In 2023, she is writing a horror feature in Jumpcut Media's incubator, which will use an innovative, tech-driven approach to development. Jaime writes to free the little voice inside her head: a sarcastic cheerleader, with a dagger strapped to her thigh, who will cut you if you touch her.
Manager: Nicholas Bogner, Affirmative Entertainment
Committed to writing in-your-face feminist genre -- both features and TV -- with a dark comedy underbelly.
