Dylan Hirsh is a filmmaker and educator that documents fragile ecosystems and the fascinating people that work to preserve them. His work highlights geographically unique places. His work is presented in an accessible manner to foster an appreciation for these rare locations. Dylan teaches media at Hunter College and works full-time as a medical education video producer for WebMD.
Dylan has received recognition for delivery excellence from WebMD. He produced S1E4 of the Medscape InDiscussion podcast, which won the American Society of Business Publication Editors regional bronze award. He directed County Counting, which won Best Documentary at the Mott Haven Film Festival. Dylan's animated short film Strawberries was selected for screening at the Coney Island Film Festival. He has given guest lectures at Columbia University’s digital filmmaking course. He was selected for the 2025 cohort for The Alan Cornell US Campus Faculty Seminar.
