Born in Northeast Ohio, Dustin Nowlin is an American artist. Whose disciples included painting, assemblage, installation, filmmaking, and traditional tattooing.
As a filmmaker Nowlin is know for his compelling short vignette, In Transit (2010) as well as the experimental epic, Aea (2018). He began his career as a filmmaker after being selected in grade school for a TV production class at age ten.
Ever creative, he expanded proclivity to the visual arts throughout his educational experience. Only to return as an adult to his first love of film and performance.
“Film is more than pressing record and capturing a moment. It’s ‘how do you tell this story, using light?’” - DN
