The Dumbo Film Festival Inc. is glad to introduce the DFF Pitch which will take place in DUMBO, NY on October 17, 2022 during the 4th edition of the 2022 Dumbo Film Festival.

This incredible opportunity is aimed at independent filmmakers. The submitted projects must have a final runtime of less than 30 minutes (Short Narrative, Short Doc, Animation, Experimental).

A maximum of 10 projects (the DFF Pitch Finalists) will be admitted to the final phase and you will have a maximum of 20 minutes to present your project in the presence of the audience and field experts.

Finalist filmmakers who can't attend the live event will be able to discuss their pitch remotely.

The 10 Finalists will be guaranteed an All-Access pass for the Dumbo Film Festival 2022. The 10 Finalists will be announced on the DFF official website dumbofilmfestival.com, on June 20, 2022.

The winner will be announced live during the final ceremony of the 4th Dumbo Film Festival 2022.

The final prize will amount to $ 5,000 which will be paid as follows: $ 3,000 within 7 days from the awarding ceremony and the remaining $ 2,000 within 30 days from the awarding ceremony.

The director or producer undertakes to keep the DFF Inc. updated through email: info@dumbofilmfestival.com. Furthermore, the producer, or whoever owns the property rights of the project, undertakes to insert the official logo of the “Dumbo Film Festival” in the end credits section under the heading “Supported by”.

The Pitch will be activated only upon reaching a minimum number of submissions. If this minimum number is not reached by May 30, 2022, the registration fees will be immediately refunded.

Only projects in pre-production or production stage will be eligible. Works that have reached the post-production stage will not be accepted.

Projects with existing distribution agreements will not be accepted.
Co-produced projects are allowed.

Requirements:

To participate in the DFF Pitch you will have to submit (on FilmFreeway) a SINGLE pdf containing:
- project subject;
- technical information (runtime, genre, format, any co-producers involved, and everything else related to the techs of the project)
- introductory description of the potential, topic and final goals of your project;
- filmography (if existing) of the filmmaker and producer.

You will then be asked to submit a video of a short video (max 5 minutes) where you can tell us about your project in detail. You can also use photos and work in progress material. Your short video must be uploaded with pw on Vimeo and sent by June 5, 2022 to the following email address: info@dumbofilmfestival.com with the title: "DFF Pitch 2022".
