At a young age, Keila showed promise as a budding writer, winning essay contests and scholarships. Upon graduating high school, she would go on to win a full-tuition scholarship through the Posse Foundation, thus giving her the chance to study Film production and Theater at Bard College.
It was at Bard where Keila wrote, directed, and starred in her own web series, "S T U D E N T S", depicting the difficulties of entering college in a town far from home. Since then, Keila has returned to her hometown of Atlanta to take part in Georgia's booming entertainment market, writing fantasy and science fiction stories in her spare time.
