Drifting

DOMINIC, charming yet unmotivated to grow out of his childish ways, waits for his estranged high school friend MAC outside of the roller rink they frequented when they were kids. Optimistic at the assumption the duo will revert to the dynamic they once had, it quickly becomes clear that the two have grown in separate directions. Once Dominic learns of Mac’s imminent move due to a new job, he accepts friendships aren’t meant to last forever.

Director Statement

This film is inspired by the times I felt my world was moving too fast.

My goal is that through humor, I've captured the importance of holding our memories fondly, and the pain of coping with the fact that nothing lasts forever.

Hopefully you will be able to relate to what my characters are feeling, no matter what stage of life you're in.

Thank you for reminiscing with me at the roller rink!
