Dreams
Intro
My dreams are fadin` in the dark.
Sept away by the roots of your lark.
Just sept away.
Verse I
At night my dreams come to the surface of my mind.
Leave behind a shiver of joy and hope.
So I can breathe, can breathe again.
Chorus
Uhh huuu uuh huuu….
Verse II
Your cry seemed to be my cry at first sight.
Slurped me up like a maitai on a lukewarm night
Just slurped me up.
So I couldn’t breathe.
Chorus
Uhh huuu uuh huuu….
Bridge
Feel again
how can I breathe again?
No voice coming through myself
Is fading in the mist of my thoughts.
Outro
That night a dream came to the surface of my mind.
Left behind a glimmer of joy and hope.
So I can breathe.

Sophia Wolz, German newcomer and winner of the German Pop Award 2024, is making waves with soulful melodies, experimental vocal- and piano sounds and her activating message of women's empowerment. Since embarking on her musical journey in 2022, the Munich singer has captivated audiences with her present releases on radio shows and touching live performances. More to come with her debut album "About Life" that is supported by VPBy (Verband für Popkultur Bayern). Her music is a fusion of melancholic undertones and catchy hooks, showcasing her fairy-like voice that transports listeners to ethereal realms. Her commitment to empowering women shines through not only in her music but also in her role as a music teacher exclusively for girls, providing mentorship and guidance to the next generation of female artists.
As a multiple scholarship holder for pop music I can now realize my music which I prepared for in my vocal studies for years. In my early years my dad and then later on Reinette van Zeijtfeld-Lustig, professor for Jazz-Vocals at the University for Music in Würzburg taught me the basis on singing, playing the violine and music theory. Also my music studies at the University for Music in Stuttgart (main subject vocals) lead me to music production and song-writing. Today aesthetics in lyrics and audio-visual expression are part of my art as well as moody feelings in my music. I see myself as a realist (girls`music teacher at the Mary-Ward-Secondary School in Munich) as well as a surrealist and love to play with both worlds. Being a motivation for others to live their dreams is my dream itself.
My third single "Dreams" was produced by the renowned film producer Richard Ruzicka ("Deep Skin", "Der Parfumeur"). That causes the orchestral, experimental sounds. The single is about unrestrained and oppressed dreams within a surrealistic society. The lyrical I can only live its dreams and wishes at night when its actually dreaming. I love to experiment with my voice and create beats and percussions by it. A film production was released on 3rd March 2023. It got rewarded by Pop-Aufm-Schirm as the „Video of the Month“.
