Dr. Angela Sadler Williamson is a dedicated marketing and communication professional with over 20 years experience in the broadcast television, cable advertising, healthcare, financial, municipal government and higher education industries. During her lengthy career, she has used her marketing and communication talents to create public service announcements and corporate videos for such nonprofit organizations as Goodwill Industries of Orange County, The American Red Cross of Orange County, Children’s Hospital of Orange County and the City of Manhattan Beach in addition to completing similar projects for numerous for-profit companies. She is currently a Community Manager and adjunct instructor in the Communication Studies Department at Concordia University Irvine. Dr. Williamson obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees from California State University, Fullerton in Mass Communications. She is a former producer and copywriter for the Orange County NewsChannel , Fox 11 Television, Fox Sports West and Prime Ticket. A multiple Telly awards recipient, Dr. Williamson also has a doctorate in Human Services with a specialization in Management of Nonprofit Agencies from Capella University in Minnesota. Dr. Williamson utilizes her marketing and television abilities for social good by involving herself in projects or organizations across the Southern California region whose goals are to make the community they serve better. She is currently a member of P.E.O. Sisterhood serving as the Publicity Chairperson for the Inland Empire. P.E.O. Sisterhood is an organization making a difference in women lives by promoting educational opportunities for women. Her research on social media and older adults provides nonprofit organizations a foundation to encourage the aging population to successfully engage in the digital space. Dr. Williamson spent 9-months collecting survey data at the Fontana Senior Center, Claremont Senior Center, and SilverSneakers. In 2017, she released a feature documentary about her cousin Rosa Parks and won the grand prize in the documentary film category at the Culver City Film Festival. In 2016, Dr. Williamson was accepted into the Writer’s Guild of America West based on the script she wrote on Rosa Parks. She is currently featured in February 2018’s Women Who Rock With Success magazine that celebrates her work in preserving the civil rights history and legacy of her cousin Rosa Parks.
