Carlos Eguiluz (aka Dr. Eguiluz), a native of Irapuato, Guanajuato, is a veterinarian and filmmaker who graduated from the Film Directing Diploma Program at Escuela de Cine Arte7. He produced the anthology horror film MÉXICO BÁRBARO (2014) and directed the short films VEINTICUATRO -dudek kvar- (2017) and BIENES DAÑADOS (2020), both screened at festivals in Mexico and abroad. As a producer at PIROTECNIA films, he worked on the feature HUACHICOLERO (2019) and music videos including SANTA KUMBIA – SFK (2021), GRANDES LIGAS – SFK, ALEMAN, B-REAL, S-DOGG, LUPILLO RIVERA (2021), LUKA – SFK (2022), and BYE – PESO PLUMA (2023). His first produced feature, UN CUENTO DE PESCADORES, has earned awards at festivals like Morelia, Mórbido, Feratum, Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre, and Fantaspoa.
