I’ve been obsessed with films since birth. I grew up watching 80’s action movies from Schwarzenegger and Stallone then graduated to Tarantino, Michael Mann and Scorsese in my teenage years.

I excelled in English and Media at school and went on to study film in Hull. I spent my twenties travelling the world making short films in the USA, Australia and Germany. In 2012 I then studied Filmmaking at The New York Film Academy in Manhattan. 2 years later I studied Screenwriting at The NYFA campus in Los Angeles. This period was an invaluable cultural and educational experience in which I wrote, produced and directed short films.

In 2017 I raised a £12,000 budget to fund my feature film debut ‘Some Kind of Love’
After a full year of fund raising, via crowd funding and fund-raising events, I assembled a crew and shot the feature over 12 consecutive days in October in Hull. I then spent the following six months editing the movie before sending it off to film festivals throughout 2018. To date the film has won at 4 film festivals. It was a winner at The Accolade Global Film Competition in November 2018 and won at The Global Lift-Off Sessions in January 2019 as well as winning The Festival Director’s Award at The Unrestricted View Film Festival. It also won Best Director at The Great Northern Film Expo 2019 and was selected at The Independent Talents International Film Festival.
