Down The Lane
In his final moments, Alexander – a young man in his early 20’s journeys through the doors of his memories. Behind each door is a chapter of his life, images of his past – the faces of the people he loves, his passions, his fascinations and more. As he progresses in his journey and the fate of his death approaches, the surroundings become increasingly surreal, culminating in a mysterious corridor between life and death.

Nevine is a writer and director based between Rome and Paris. Her journey began at The Lee Strasberg Film and Theatre Institute in New York where she studied acting. She then transitioned into production and has most recently worked on the Oscar-nominated director Mariane Satrapi's
"Paris Paradis" (2023) as an assistant director. Prior to Down the Lane, Nevine wrote and directed two award-winning short films.
This film is important to me as it is reflection on the passage from life to death. It is a response to some of my own fears and interrogations about the end. An homage to life and our memories. It explores the complexity and power of souvenirs in a surrealist journey through the past of our character, who is a mirror of my life, a mirror of all our lives.
