Director Biography - Maria Juliana Villar

Maria Juliana Villar is a graduate of the Arts and Design track at Jose Rizal University and is currently second-year college in Digital Film at Mapua University. She is an aspiring filmmaker who is still learning to gain experience in writing and directing. Besides writing and directing, she is also exploring her creative side in film editing.

Director Statement

As a woman who also feels anxious about the clothes that I wear in public, I like to use this opportunity to explain and show how it feels when an individual cannot overcome their body insecurities. Particularly the side of women in this issue, since most of the people experiencing this are women. The goal of this film is to make the audience see how stereotypes and negativity lead women to become vulnerable by means of visuals.
