Daria Kapliy. Director, artist. Born in 2003 in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. From the age of 12 she studied in-depth mathematics. First semi-documentary film “Donya” was filmed in the 10th grade, taking as the subject of discussion “bulimia of images and sounds,” talking about what can be calculated and what, for now, cannot. Daria currently studies film directing under the guidance of Konstantin Lopushansky, art-house cinema director and student of Andrey Tarkovskiy, at the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television. She is also a student of the St. Petersburg School of New Cinema.
Her film "Kiddo" is a coursework shot as part of her studies at the university in collaboration with the Greek composer Yiorgos Kaloudis.
