Dorgham's Sons
I’ve worked on this film as a one man crew, from discovering the place from the first place, to visualizing my story, shooting, scriptwriting, editing up until exporting it as a short film documentary.
This film is called “Dorgham’s Sons” and it documents the life of a group of men, who we have been living a primitive life for almost 20 years in the “Sawda” Desert next to “Wadi el Rayan” in Fayoum city in Egypt, away from their families to afford living.
It all goes back when “Dorgham” (The grandfather) who moved to a spot in the middle of the desert and next to the upper lake of Fayoum city to start fishing for a living. He moved after the floods took place on “Wadi el Rayan” 70 years ago.
