Doomsday Daughters

Francis was a Doomsday prepper who was prepared for anything... except her own death. After her passing her two daughters, Iris and Violet, are left to deal with the aftermath of cleaning out her doomsday stash of expired canned goods, freeze dried food, and the occasional surprise weapon. Over the course of riffling through her stash, they discover what was most important to their mother in the end. Doomsday Daughters is a heartfelt short story about grief, loss, canned beans and what matters most.

Director Statement

This film was created with an entirely female/ non-binary cast and crew, from pre-production, to actors, to set crew, and all the way through post-production! Women and non-binary folks are still marginalized in the film industry, and we wanted to challenge that by creating this piece, and provide a space for emerging female/ non-binary filmmakers to create a high-quality film to add to their portfolios in hopes of helping advance their careers. Each member of our team was incredibly passionate about this project and we really think it shows in the final product.
