Don’t leave, Moldova
Five women and one hopeless country. Moldova is the poorest state in Europe and its judiciary system is the most corrupt in the world. The documentary shows public mood in Moldova in the run-up to the parliamentary elections that were held in February, 2019. Is there some hope for grassroots change in the country where half the population is forced to economic emigration? How brave should one be to stand against the system? They are brave without doubt. Maia formed the opposition coalition and ran for a seat in the parliamentary elections. Alona, a young entrepreneur and activist, decided to make happening about emigration. Aurelia, a civil activist, helps women suffering from breast cancer. Ana is connected with the bright and creative protest movement Occupy Guguţă. Alexandra helps children from troubled families and those whose parents went abroad. Listen to the voices of women who decided to stay and make changes in the country. Moldova is a woman. Amid the recent political crisis, one of the persons appearing in the film, Acum coalition leader Maia Sandu, has taken the post of Prime Minister of Moldova.

Alina Koushyk is an experienced journalist, presenter and creative producer in Belsat TV. She is a anchor in popular show on international politics called “Prasviet.” She is an author of several documentary projects. Alina is the author and creative producer of “I am not eating this!” -- a first psychotherapeutic gastronomic show in the world and slightly feministic project “54%”.
