Director Statement

This project is derived from my love of suspense thrillers. I ventured out to make a film with a truly compelling story, featuring people of color playing complex characters. Through the writing, I found a personal angle into the material, exploring themes of religion, culture, and mental health. This film is meant to intrigue, entertain, and leave the audience with chills and wonder.

Shot on a shoestring budget with a skeletal crew, I took on the role of writer, director, cinematographer, editor, and colorist to make this vision come to life. A true passion project. As a person who overcame a speech impediment, filmmaking has always been a form of personal empowerment as well as a way to make sense of the world around me. After years of writing and directing low-budget dramedies, I decided that it was time to gather every resource I can find and make the film that I'd always wanted to see.
