Julia was born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine, all her life she has been passionately involved in one art form or other. When she was 5, Julia entered a music school to study the violin and piano, while taking singing lessons until she was 14.
In addition, she has many years of experience with an array of dance forms including; ballet, sport dance, ballroom-dancing, folk dance and contemporary dance.
After finishing school Julia studied Classical Ballet, Acting and Improvisation at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts.
Shortly after moving to the Czech Republic, 2005, Julia signed a contract with “Nova Models” and began her modelling career. What most attracts Julia to this career is the possibility of work and networking with other creative people, such as in the fields of impersonation and expressing herself in original and artistic forms. Her photos were published in American (Inspire), French (B-Authentique on-line magazine) and Czech fashion magazines. She was awarded the title of Miss Model 2012 Vice-Miss.
In the age of 21 she was diagnosed with cancer and spent many long months fighting to regain health. Julia’s struggle made her realise the value of every moment and appreciate all of life’s experiences.
Shortly after Julia started her film path and played the leading role in a short feature film called “Following” directed by a young film director, Sergey Minenko, in 2011. It was shown during the film festival in Česke Budějovice.
In may 2016 Julia graduated from Prague Film School in Acting for Film program.
During the last 3 years she played bit parts in commercials, “Crossing Lines” series, a Death Dealer in the blockbuster film Underworld: Blood Wars, directed by Anna Foerster.
Besides that, Julia has played leading roles in indie films including, Getting Rid Of Pavel (directed by Ingrid Abrams), Indebted (directed by Jerry Kellie), Hard Drive (directed by Adam Sutherland), Binary Stars (directed by Anoj Nair), A Good Man Is Hard To Find (directed by Justine Schepers) and in many others.
Pursuing a goal to continue to improve her acting skills Julia spent a semester in the Fall of 2018 at North Hollywood, CA studying Meisner technique at Playhouse West.
In addition to acting, Julia currently enjoys studying psychology, filmmaking, directing and screenwriting.
