Dominique's The Society

Can you live forever? Can love be eternal? ... Exceeding time or space? No matter who we are, where we are, how old we are, we are all one breath away from dying. Is that worth living for? I grew up immersed in period pieces. The costumes, the Ton, the scandal. Albeit, knew I'd never be able see myself. Such I created The Society. My own period piece.

Director Biography - Dominique Breckenridge

My life-long love affair with Classic Films and Vintage fashion inspired and invoked in me, not a want or a need, but a meaning, to connect the two in a broad medium, all my own. Theatrical productions. Creating classic entertainment in a modern world done in a vintage manner. Allowing me not only to write storylines I'd come up with for a stage production but provide the garments from the beginning stages to the final product, from sketch to sewn.

I can say, I had the lucky, unique, and grateful opportunity to share some of my love for films and what I do during a sit down with the extraordinary Robert Osborne as a Guest Programmer on Turner Classic Movies during their 20th Anniversary celebration, where I was able not only to talk about a favorite film of mine, Tyrone Power's last completed film, WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION (1957) but also was able to talk about what a role and inspiration films, classic films, in particular, have played and play in my life since my childhood.

Born with an artist (oils) for a mother, and a contractor for a father, I've always said, I think those two creative minds must've exploded when I entered the earth, because my imagination holds no bounds.
