Dominika Kováčová graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, Slovakia with a documentary Awohali (The Eagle), which premiered at Etiuda&Anima Film Festival and received the Special Award from Artistic Director Bogusław Zmudziński and The Student Jury Award. During her internship at Filmes do Gajo production in Lisbon, Portugal, she worked on the film Circus Movements directed by Mário Gajo and Lukas Berger.
She also directed a short radio documentary in co-production with the Slovak National Broadcaster.
At the moment, she is studying a master degree at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon where she specializes in moving image.
