Director Biography - Michelle Ramirez

Michelle Ramirez is a Dominican-American actress from Washington Heights. DominicanYork Series is Michelle's first public project, and her writer and directorial debut.

She is a talented writer who thrives in the art of merging comedy and drama to tell stories. She's been trained as an actor by Maggie Phillips and Monique McDonald; and her credits include several short films, a music video directed by Jay Rodriguez and an Uber Grammy's commercial.

Her strengths as a writer and properly treating a script were pivotal in bringing DominicanYork Series to life and enabling others to buy into the DominicanYork vision.

We hope DominicanYork displays all of the different ways that Dominican culture can be represented and celebrated. The stories are about Dominicans having regular, human experiences that anyone from any culture can relate to. It was created in such a way, that no matter what your background is, we welcome you and will walk you through the Dominican experience.
