Director Statement

"DOMINATE" Short Film. Director's Statement: Saying No is hard. People tend to worry about saying No because they don't want to hurt others’ feelings. One of my childhood friends was a victim of domestic abuse. It took Her years of disrespect for Herself until she finally said No and applied for a divorce… It left a scar on my heart.
Years and years after, in New York, I accidentally met a lady, who works as Dominatrix. My first crazy thought was, I can’t imagine my friend standing next to the Dominatrix lady. Why? Maybe I should? Most ironically, with a dark sense of humor, I wrote a provocative shift in perspective in five pages. In a What If World, where two so different and both amazing strong females empower each other, even if it’s something that small like saying No.
