Kaelan Selbach-Broad, half of Broad Brothers Productions, is a filmmaker based out of New York and an alum from Syracuse University. Kaelan and his brother have been making movies together for as long as they could hold a camera. Kaelan's dedication to filmmaking has led him around the world to Bologna, Italy and Prague, The Czech Republic where he studied at FAMU.
Dollhouse is Kaelan's first solo project. While still produced by his brother the film was written, directed, and edited by Kaelan. Kaelan's storytelling follows characters questioning their own reality as he often does himself. Their reality symbolizes our own and draws attention to the injustice seen around us. Kaelan believes in the ability of film to translate ideas that words cannot; especially in the power of genre movies to talk about important political themes in an entertaining way.
