Director Statement

A "Dog Spelled Backwards," was a chance for me to help; help dogs in animal shelters, help the people connected to them, help staff and volunteers of animal shelters feel heard and loved. This film is simply my story as the background, containing the complexities that drive all human connection, with a deeper message that educates, touches the heart and advocates for shelter dogs. Of all the songs, books and scripts I have written in my life, this one is truly the most important. I hope it touches viewers the way that the dogs in my life have touched and changed me.
